The Independence Public Schools opened a new K-12 facility in August of 1998. The school is located on the north side of Independence about 1/3 of a mile from the city limits to the north and a mile from the city limits on the south side. Independence is located about 35 miles south of Eau Claire, about 45 miles northeast of La Crosse and about 40 miles east of Winona, Minnesota.

Coming from Eau Claire, exit on Highway 93 and go south for 33 miles. On Highway 93, enter the city limits of Independence and go 1/3 of a mile. Turn left on Indee Boulevard. On Indee Boulevard, take the first left into the visitor parking lot. Enter through the cafetorium doors.

Coming from Minnesota and Winona, cross the Interstate Bridge into Wisconsin. At the stoplights, turn right and take Highway 35 south. Go approximately 15 miles on Highway 35. At the stop signs in Centerville, WI, take a left onto Highway 93 and go east. Take Highway 93 east for 22 miles into Independence. After entering the city limits on the south side, follow Main Street (Highway 93) through the city for approximately one mile. At ¾ of a mile, St. Peter and Paul Church will be on the right. Go an additional ¼ of a mile and take a right onto Indee Boulevard. On Indee Boulevard, take the first left into the visitor parking lot. Enter through the cafetorium doors.

From La Crosse, exit to Highway 53 north. Take Highway 53 north approximately sixteen miles to Galesville. Turn right into Galesville and stay on Highway 53 for 24 miles into Whitehall. In Whitehall, turn left (east) on Highway 121. Take Highway 121 five miles to Independence. At the stop sign, turn right (north) onto Highway 93 and go ¼ mile. Turn right onto Indee Boulevard. On Indee Boulevard, take the first left into the visitor parking lot. Enter through the cafetorium doors.
