The Elk Mound School District has three schools. All three schools are located on University Street. The first school, on University Street, to your left is the middle school (2/10 of a mile), the high school is to your right (3/10 of a mile) and the elementary school is 4/10 of a mile on your right (up the hill).

To get to the Elk Mound schools when traveling from the west, north or east, you’ll have to get to the Highway 29 and County Road H intersection.

From I-94:

Whether traveling east or west, take exit 52 (Chippewa, Green Bay). Head east on Highway 12/29 two miles to County Road H (you will pass the Elk Mound Highway 12 exit sign). Turn right on County Road H and go 1.6 miles into town and take a left on University Street (Centurytel building will be on the corner). If you went over the railroad tracks, back up, you just passed University Street.

From the east (Highway 29):

Take Highway 29 west to County Road H. County Road H will be fourteen miles from the western edge of Chippewa (intersection of Highway 53 and Highway 29). There will be two County Road H signs. Take the second County Road H which is a left-hand turn (do not take a right-hand turn on H, it’s the wrong one). Take a left on County Road H and go 1.6 miles into town. Turn left on University Street.

From the west (Highway 29):

Take Highway 12/29 east to County Road H (you will pass the Elk Mound Highway 12 exit sign). Turn right on County Road H and go 1.6 miles to University Street and turn left. If you went over the railroad tracks, back up, you just passed University Street.

From Highway 53:

From the north or south, take exit 96 (Chippewa, Menomonie, Highway 29 exit). Head west on Highway 29 fourteen miles to a left turn on County Road H (do not make a right turn on H). Go 1.6 miles to University Street, it will be on your left. If you went over the railroad tracks, back up, you just passed University Street.

From County Road H:

Coming from the south on County Road H, head north until you come into town. You will go over the bridge over I-94. At the stop sign (Mike Star Market will be on your left), go straight. Just after you pass over the railroad tracks, University Street will be on your right.
