Gilmanton is located in a rural, unincorporated community, nestled in the bluffs of west central Wisconsin. Gilmanton is located about 35 miles south of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 40 miles north of Winona, Minnesota, and 65 miles north of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Gilmanton is approximately 8 ½ miles south of Mondovi and approximately 20 ½ miles north of Alma, off Highway 37. Gilmanton is approximately 17 ½ miles west of Independence, off Highway 121.

From the north:

Go south out of Mondovi, on Highway 37 for approximately 3.2 miles. Turn left onto Highway 88 and follow for approximately 4.2 miles. Follow Highway 88 through Gilmanton less than 1/10 of a mile (over the bridge and up the hill). Take a left onto Highway 121 (on top of the hill) and go less than 1/10 of a mile. Take the first left and you’ve reached the Gilmanton High School.

From the south:

Go north out of Alma on Highway 37 for approximately 14.8 miles. Turn right onto County Road B for approximately 2.6 miles. Take a right on Highway 88. Follow Highway 88 less than 1/10 of a mile (over the bridge and up the hill). Take a left onto Highway 121 (on top of the hill) and go less than 1/10 of a mile. Take the first left and you’ve reached the Gilmanton High School.

From the east:

Go north out of Independence, on Highway 93/Highway 121 for approximately three miles. Turn left onto Highway 121. Follow Highway 121 for approximately 14 ½ miles. Take the first right, once you’ve entered the town of Gilmanton and you’ve reached the Gilmanton High School.
